TO: All Sunrise Beach Property Owners and Friends
Sandy Mountain Cemetery established in the late 1800's is to be used
by all residents of the adjacent community.
This community cemetery, located in North Sunrise Beach Village and
known as Sandy Mountain Cemetery has recently been granted a
charter from the Secretary of State, George W. Strake, Jr.
The charter was granted to the Sandy Mountain Cemetery Association,
so that it would be recorded as a non-profit corporation. One of the
benefits of a corporation is that all donations are tax deductible.
The purposes for which the corporation was organized are the
management, maintenance, operation and preservation of a private
cemetery.
So that this historic cemetery can be maintained an preserved with
respect to those interred, it will be necessary to ask for annual
donations. The people of the community will no longer be asked to
meet monthly for the cleaning of the plots.
The plots are currently being (sic) updated. Anyone having unused
space in Sandy Mountain Cemetery is encouraged to contact SANDY
MOUNTAIN CEMETERY ASSOCIATION, CLICK RTE, LLANO, TX. 78643.
This survey is necessary to make sure all plot designations are correct.
Your generous donation is needed for the current maintenance and for
future preservation of our historic cemetery.
